April 2016 Update
After receiving my MA in Adult and Higher Education from the University of South Dakota in December of 2015, I am back in the studio full-time, exploring new artistic avenues. My exhibition, The Art of Wonder, in February of this year at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, resulted in a few new bodies of mixed media work, The Art of Wonder, The Found Text Triptychs, and the Paper Textile Drawings. Much of this work will be added to this website and/or found in my Etsy shop, MissouriBendStudio (http://www.etsy.com/shop/missouribendstudio)

Jentel Artists Residency
I've recently returned from a wonderful month-long residency at Jentel, located in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming. This is where the Nocturne series began, a new body of drawings on paper that point to the night sky and the seemingly infinite cosmos. Look for more from this series as they are completed. All work on this site is available for sale....please feel free to contact me with questions or comments!
Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts
Had a fantastic residency at Brush Creek in Wyoming from August 2-August 16th. Lots of beautiful landscape, good food and most importantly the time and space to generate new ideas and new work! Highly recommended!
Missouri Bend Paper Works blog merges with Missouri Bend Studio blog
Once there were two blogs, one of which was dedicated to my found text pieces and now there is one!
Missouri Bend Paper Works www.missouribendpaperworks.blogspot.com began in January 2010 as a daily posting of found text poems, then changed to weekly in January of 2011. As of now, the beginning of May 2011, the found text pieces and my other artwork have overlapped so much that I'm no longer going to post on the Missouri Bend Paper Works blog, but all new work, along with posts on my creative process, inspirations, joys and frustrations can be found on the Missouri Bend Studio blog here:
Hope you'll visit the first year and a half of my found text pieces at Missouri Bend Paper Works.
Cloth Paper Scissors Studios
My studio is featured in the Spring 2011 issue of Cloth Paper Scissors Studios Magazine!
